Marseille Provence airport is located 27 km north-west of Marseille in the commune of Marignane.

TRAFFIC: It is the sixth busiest airport in France, with 9 million passengers served in 2017.

VECTORS: Approximately 40 airlines operate in Marseilles. The main ones are Air France, Alitalia, British Airways, Easyjet, Iberia, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Turkish Airlines and Vueling.

DESTINATIONS: The main routes include Amsterdam, Paris, Athens, Rome, London, Berlin, Madrid, Istanbul, Lisbon and Frankfurt.

DEVELOPMENTS: Terminal 2 was inaugurated in 2006 and is entirely dedicated to low cost flights. In 2013 the airport’s structure was expanded with new shops and restaurants. Work will begin in 2020 to expand the airport area by 15,000 square metres.
