Miami Airport


Miami airport is located approximately 13 miles from downtown Miami in Florida.

TRAFFIC: In 2016 approximately 44 million passengers travelled through the airport, making it the 30th busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic. It is the primary gateway between the United States and Latin America, and one of the largest airline hubs in the United States.

VECTORS: Approximately 60 airlines operate at Miami International Airport, including Aerolíneas Argentinas, Air Canada, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, Iberia, KLM, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss, TAP Air Portugal and United Airlines.

DESTINATIONS: The main routes include London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, New York, Atlanta, Mexico City, Lima, Panama City, Bogota, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Madrid.

DEVELOPMENTS: The new south terminal, with a total area of approximately 500,000 square metres, was inaugurated in 2007. September 2011 saw the inauguration of the MIA Mover, designed to swiftly transport passengers between Miami International Airport and Miami Central Station. The north terminal, which handles more than 25 million passengers every year, was completed in 2014.
