Olbia - Costa Smeralda Airport
Olbia – Costa Smeralda airport is one of the three main international airports in Sardinia. It is located about one kilometre from Olbia’s city centre in the province of Sassari.
TRAFFIC: Olbia airport serves the highest number of international passengers in Sardinia. It houses the operative base and operational headquarters of the Italian airline Meridiana Fly, as well as the general headquarters of the Alisarda Group. In 2017, the airport served 2,808,323 passengers.
VECTORS: Approximately 22 companies operate at this airport, including Meridiana, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Easyjet and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
DESTINATIONS: The main destinations include Milan, Rome, Geneva, Zurich, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Luxembourg.
DEVELOPMENTS: The design process for a new runway has been completed. The structure will upgrade the current infrastructure, which was built in the 1970s and has reached the limit of its technical life. The runway renovation works will be undertaken in the first few months of 2018.
